Middlesex County officials are investigating a worksite incident that left a construction worker dead this morning in Woodbridge.
According to police, the construction worker was killed and two others were severely injured when they were electrocuted at a construction site at around 8 a.m. near 187 Quincy Court in Woodbridge Township.
According to police, workers with a siding company were erecting scaffolding to put up the siding when the wind blew the scaffolding over.
Police say two workers tried to grab the pole just as it struck a high tension overhead line.
Authorities said the pair were shocked and severely injured.
Police say the workers were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the other remains in extremely critical condition.
Police say the third worker sustained very serious burns and was taken to a hospital in Perth Amboy.
