Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Director Robert Hubner of the Woodbridge Police Department announce that a Woodbridge man has been charged with the aggravated assault and murder of a 32-year-old township man.
Police say Corne Dionisio, 33, of Woodbridge was arrested on November 9, and has been charged with first degree murder, one count of aggravated assault in the second degree, and two counts of aggravated assault in the third degree in the murder of Fidel Ruiz, 32, of Woodbridge.
According to authorities, on November 9th, police responded to the home on Kennedy Place in Woodbridge Township at approximately 8 am after they were alerted that the victim was unresponsive in the home.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The results of an autopsy by the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the manner of death to be homicide, the cause of death being homicidal asphyxiation.
Dionisio is currently being held in the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center.
The investigation is active and is continuing.
