Women Wanted for Leaving Newark Restaurant After $100 Dining Tab Goes Unpaid

Newark police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two women accused of leaving a restaurant without fully paying their bill, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda.  

The incident occurred on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., at a restaurant near Patterson Street and Wall Street.

Police report that the suspects ordered $106 worth of food and beverages but left the establishment after paying only $50.

Detectives investigating the case have described the suspects as Black females. Images of the individuals have been released in hopes that the public can assist in identifying them.  

Director Miranda has urged anyone with information about the suspects to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

Tips can remain anonymous, and information leading to an arrest may qualify for a reward.  

Authorities encourage anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward as they continue their efforts to resolve the case.
