Separate Newark shootings had police arresting three people on Friday who they say are connected to the incidents.
According to authorities, a January shooting that happened in the city's North Ward had police arresting Assata A. Howell, 23, and is now faces aggravated assault charges in connection with the shooting.
Police said, some type of physical confrontation broke out between Howell and the victim that allegedly prompting her to contact several men to a home in the 300 block of Broadway.
After the men arrived to the scene, police said they fired off multiple rounds of gunfire, striking the victim several times.
In a West Ward shooting that happened back in December, police arrested Elaine Wheeler, 55, of Irvington.
Police said Wheeler was taken into custody Friday at her home on Clinton Avenue.
Authorities believe that Wheeler is connected with a shooting that happened in the 100 block of Gladstone Avenue and is being held on a $100,000 bail for aggravated assault.
A February shooting that left a man seriously injured in the 100 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue had authorities arresting 18-year-old Jihad Jones on Friday according to police.
All of the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
