Authorities in Bloomfield are looking for a woman who they believe tried to steal hundreds of dollars in merchandise from a store in early April.
According to police, units responded to 600 Bloomfield Avenue (Dollar General) on report of a shoplifting April 3rd.
When officers arrived, police said they spoke to the store manager, who told them that an African American female entered the store and took thirty sticks of deodorant and other items and attempted to leave the store without paying.
The manager stopped the suspect and she dropped the items and fled the store.
Authorities said the products were valued at $330.00.
The female suspect was described as having purple hair and wearing a red jacket.
Police say the incident is under investigation.
