A female pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Newark's North Ward has authorities investigating.
The woman (who is reported to be around the age of 40-years-old) was struck by a vehicle in the area of Broadway and Delavan Street at around 1:50 p.m. sent emergency responders to the scene where the woman was found suffering a serious head injury.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where she was reported to be in serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly stayed at the scene and did not suffer physical injuries.
The Newark Police Department is handling the investigation at this time.
