There were non-life threatening injuries reported for a woman struck by gunfire in East Orange on Monday night.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened in the vicinity of 152 North Walnut Street shortly after 10 p.m. where police found a woman suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
The woman, who is around the age of 19-years-old, was transported to University Hospital in Newark where she is expected to survive.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
