A woman walking with a child early this morning was injured after being struck by a car on Madison Avenue and Louisa at around 8:30 a.m.
The woman - who was reportedly the young child's mother - was laying on the ground as fighters and EMS provided treatment.
The girl appeared to be unharmed but frightened for the woman's well-being as emergency crews evaluated the woman.
The female driver of the vehicle that struck the woman, remained at the scene and provided comfort for the child.
The incident remains under investigation.
There was no additional information available as to the condition of the injured woman.
