Police in Newark has arrested Ms. Denise Johnson, 40, of Newark, for a domestic violence stabbing that occurred today -Saturday-.
According to police, at approximately 2:45 p.m., officers responded to a West Ward residence on a call of a domestic violence assault with a knife.
Police said the male victim, was treated at the scene by EMS.
Police took Denise Johnson into custody without incident then charged her with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an illegal purpose.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
