Police in Newark are investgiating a stabbing that hospitalized a woman in the city's North Ward Friday morning.
According to authorities, police responded to an address in the 200 block of Clifton Avenue to investigate reports of domestic violence occurring at approximately 4:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found a woman suffering stab wounds after being attacked by an unidentified acquaintance at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and remains in stable condition as of early Friday morning.
There were no immediate reports of arrests of charges filed at this time.
