A single-vehicle crash in Washington Township sent a woman with serious injuries to the hospital this morning.
Police responded to the area of Koch Peak Avenue around 8:30 a.m. for the report of a crash.
Upon arrival, crews found that a maroon Honda Accord had crashed into a stone retaining wall.
The driver, only described as a elderly woman, was flown to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition.
The man was transported to an area hospital by ambulance with leg injuries.
It is believed that for unknown reasons, the driver of the vehicle went over the curb between two street signs sending her onto Washington Avenue where the vehicle crashed head-on into the wall.
Police are investigating the crash.
