Police are investigating an armed robbery of a woman as she stepped off the bus in Carteret last night, police said.
Police responded to Roosevelt Avenue where the victim told police that as she was stepping off the bus near the BP Gas station, an armed man stole her Michael Kors handbag sometime around 7p.m., police said.
The armed suspect fled in a black vehicle with tinted windows that appeared to have been waiting for the suspect, added police.
No injuries were immediately reported.
Incident remains under investigation.
