Authorities in Newark are investgiating a report of a robbery that occurred in an Essex County Park on Tuesday night.
According to preliminary reports, a female entered the Newark Police precinct on 16th Avenue and complained that she was robbed of a bicycle and a cell phone by a male who brandished an unidentifiable weapon and demanded the items.
Witnesses reported that the suspect was a black male who fled the scene immediately after the robbery.
Police have not located the suspect at this time.
