Woman Killed in Parkway Crash in Old Bridge, Identified

Police have identified the 63-year-old Summit woman killed Monday on the Garden State Parkway.

Monday afternoon, police were called to the northbound lanes of the township for a single vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, found a 2013 sedan veered of the road, crashed and went down an embankment.

The car came to a stop after striking a tree.

The driver, later identified as Marie McNally, was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Raritan Bay Medical Center.

She was pronounced dead at the hospital at approximately 6 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the state police Fatal Accident Unit.

According to family, she was a loving grandmother of three, and the mother of two, Michael Reilly and Christopher McNally.

McNally's viewing will take place Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at McCracken Funeral Home in Union. The funeral will follow on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish in Union.
