A woman reportedly suffered fatal injuries after jumping from a balcony of a building in Newark's North Ward Saturday.
The late-night incident happened just before midnight at 880 Franklin Avenue.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and found an unconscious and unresponsive woman lying on the ground after she fell about five floors from a balcony of the ten-story building.
The unidentified victim was rushed to University Hospital, where doctors were unsuccessful in treating her injuries.
Although the incident did not appear to be foul play involved, an investigation is underway.
There were no other injuries reported.
