Trenton police are actively investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday night, which resulted in a woman being injured.
Officers responded to the area of Calhoun Street and West State Street after receiving reports of the incident around 9:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, police and emergency medical services discovered a female victim with a bullet wound to her leg. Preliminary information revealed that the victim reported that the shooting took place in front of Thomas Edison College.
She was quickly transported to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
Currently, the police have not identified any suspects, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
The motive behind this violent act remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events of the night.
