An early morning crash in Newark's South Ward sent a woman to the hospital Sunday.
Newark Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Fabyan Place and Hawthorne Avenue to investigate reports of a crash with injuries.
Rescue crews arrived and found two vehicles involved in a collision with a female trapped inside one of the cars.
Newark firefighters extricated the victim then handed her over to EMS for non-life threatening medical treatment.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by Newark Police.
There were no other serious injuries reported.
