Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Tuesday, June 4, Alexia Glass, 25, from Mays Landing, was indicted for first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter, among other charges.
Officials stated after an investigation revealed that she struck a vehicle, resulting in the death of Yolanda Pacheco, 22, from Mount Holly.
On March 28, at 12:26 a.m., Pacheco was killed on Route #322 in Hamilton Township when the car she was operating in was struck from behind by a Toyota Corolla driven by Glass, officials said.
A subsequent investigation revealed Glass was in a state of intoxication that allegedly impaired her ability to operate a motor vehicle, officials say.
According to officials, it was also determined that Glass was driving at excessive speeds when she struck Pacheco’s vehicle.
