There were non-life threatening injuries reported for a woman found suffering slash injuries in Newark's South Ward late last night.
Police and EMS were called to an address in the 100 block of Jeliff Avenue after receiving reports of an injured person.
Units arriving at the scene found the female victim suffering cuts to the arm and shoulders at that location.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where she was treated for the injuries.
The motive for the incident is under investigation.
