Police took a suspect into custody and charged her with weapons possession after officers located a gun on her in Newark's Central Ward.
According to preliminary reports, at approximately 12:20 p.m., officers were called to the vicinity of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Springfield Avenue to investigate reports of a person with a weapon.
Police located the 21-year-old suspect in possession of the weapon.
Police said during the incident, a police motorcycle was tipped over when an individual exiting a car pushed into it.
The suspect arrested with a weapon requested medical attention for chest pain, according to police.
