The Metro Media Institute of Essex-Hudson Counties has opened enrollment for camp participants who want to attend all-day media tech camp while regular school is out on the break from December 24th- December 31st during the hours of 9 am to 3 pm with extended hours until 5:30 pm.
Officials at the Metro Media Institute launched the grand opening of its Harrison facility on Saturday, December 15th and are now offering its first "winter media-tech boot camp" over the break.
Working in close conjunction with RLS Metro Media Summer Camp officials, the institute welcomes students into a community of creativity, collaboration, and learning.
Through hands-on activities and engaging lessons, learners will gain experience and develop fundamental skills in the areas of Photography, Video-Film, and Graphic Design. This fun-filled week is designed to introduce students to the foundations of creating and working with basic essential of media.
After the duration of the camp, students will gain a yearly membership into the facility where they will be allowed to take courses in full length as they become available several times a year.
Officials say the institute will begin offering nightly and weekend media related courses and lecture for adults and morning self-help classes for senior citizens on a membership basis.
The Metro Media Institute "After School Media Club" will allow young media tech seekers to engage in courses from 3:15 pm until 6:30 pm Monday-Friday beginning in January 2019.
