There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched the 5 white balls to win the $1,000,000 second-prize for the Saturday, May 21 drawing.
The ticket that was purchased with Powerplay doubling the prize to $2,000,000 was purchased in Middlesex County at Krauszer’s #465, 1825 Route 130 & Southwood Ave., North Brunswick.
In addition, one New Jersey Lottery ticket was sold that matched the 4 white balls and the Powerball drawn, winning the third-prize of $50,000. If that ticket had been purchased with Powerplay, it would have been worth $200,000.
The winning ticket was sold in Union County at LA Ideal Grocery, located at 65 Delaware St., in Elizabeth.
Moreover, 24,511 New Jersey players took home an estimated $169,441 in prizes ranging from $4 to $400, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the fortunate lottery players whose tickets were big prizewinners,” said Hedinger. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”
The winning numbers for the Saturday, May 21 drawing were: 05, 07, 09, 23 and 32. The Red Power Ball number was 26. The Multiplier number was 04.
The Powerball jackpot rolls to $80,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Wednesday, May 25 at 10:59 pm.
