There was one third prize winning New Jersey Lottery ticket purchased with Powerplay that matched 4 white balls and the Powerball for the Wednesday, Aug. 19 drawing.
Powerplay multiplied the third prize by 2X making it worth $20,000. The winning ticket was sold in Essex County at D & W Sweet Shop, 336 Myrtle Ave., Irvington. In addition to the third prize winning ticket, there were 17,090 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $88,695 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.” The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Aug. 19 drawing were: 06, 08, 43, 48 and 50. The Red Power Ball number was 07. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot will roll to $90,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, Aug. 22 at 10:59 pm.
