Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery executive director, announced that there were no Mega Millions game jackpot or second tier New Jersey prizewinners, but there was one third prizewinning ticket sold that matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball for the Tuesday, March 29 drawing.
The $5,000 winning ticket was purchased in Passaic County at AZAN Mart, 241 21st Avenue, Paterson.
If that ticket had been purchased with the Megaplier option it would have increased the prize to $25,000.
In addition, 21 other players purchased tickets that matched the four white balls winning the $500 third prize.
Four of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, making them worth $2,500. Moreover, 58,220 other New Jersey players took home $116,682 in prizes ranging from $1 to $250, according to Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.” The winning numbers for the Tuesday, March 29 drawing were: 33, 38, 40, 46 and 49. The Gold Mega Ball was 15, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 05.
The Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $50,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held Friday, April 1 at 11:00 pm. Powerball and Mega Millions drawings can be seen on WABC TV stations. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
