WEST ORANGE NJ: Firefighters made fast work extinguishing a stubborn fire that ignited inside of a basement in the 90's block of Washington Street early this morning.
Fire broke out at around 6 a.m. at 96 Washington Street sending crews to the scene where they observed smoke and flames coming form the basement level of the two-story building according to officials.
It took crews under an hour to bring the blaze under control.
A search of the house had no trapped or injured occupants reports said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
