Hudson County authorities announced that on Monday, May 1, members of the Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Marcos Quexordon, 19, of West New York, on charges relating to a sex crime committed on a 12-year-old girl.
According to officials, the crime occurred in a West New York apartment on Saturday, April 29.
Officials say the victim is known to the defendant.
Quexordon is charged with Sexual Assault by Contact, a crime of the second degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the third degree.
He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
The State has filed a Motion for Detention in this matter, which is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 4.
