As Newark and the North Jersey region wake up to the first day of fall, residents are greeted by cool and pleasant conditions this Sunday morning.According to the National Weather Service (NWS), temperatures were a crisp 58 degrees at 4:30 a.m., with clear skies and no precipitation on the radar.
My friends and family, if you're heading out for -first/early- Sunday worship in the Newark area, a jacket might be necessary for the early hours, but expect to shed those layers as the day progresses.
Areas like Sussex, parts of Bergen, and upper Passaic County are starting off even cooler, with temperatures in the low 50s, bringing an authentic taste of autumn
NWS forecasters say today's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 75 degrees, with a gentle north wind around 7 mph.
Tonight, temperatures will dip to around 57 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
Enjoy this beautiful first day of fall, and have a wonderful day of worship, New Jersey!
