Police in Newark are investigating at least two weekend armed robberies that happened in the city's North Ward.
According to reports, at around midnight Sunday morning, police were called to the 300 block of Bloomfield Avenue after receiving reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Units arrived to the area and began to search for two black male suspects who were armed with guns and last seen fleeing the area on foot wearing dark colored hoodies and masks reports said.
There were no physical injuries reported.
In another armed robbery incident, at around 1:30 a.m. this morning (Monday), and armed robbery of a person in the area of Delevan and North 6th Street had cops on the scene searching for two black male suspects who were both reportedly armed with guns when they robbed the victim of personal possessions.
The suspects were wearing dark clothing when they fled on foot.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
The investigation is active and on-going.
