Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announces that Ibrahim Sumrein, 23, of Wayne, has been indicted for a December 21, 2019, motor vehicle crash in Paterson that left one person seriously injured.
According to Prosecutor Valdes, a Passaic County Grand Jury has returned an indictment charging Sumrein with Aggravated Assault, Assault by Auto While Intoxicated and Within 1,000 Feet of School Property, Assault by Auto While Intoxicated and Assault by Auto.
Prosecutor Valdes said that Sumrein was released following his arrest pending future court proceedings. He will be scheduled for arraignment before a Superior Court Judge at a date and time determined by the Court.
