Firefighters and rescue crews conducted a water search for a two Kayakers who reportedly went missing for several hours in the Newark Bay on Wednesday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the west 16th Street Park Boat in Bayonne ramp at approximately 10 p.m. where they arrived and were informed that two Kayakers hadn't made it back after being out in the water for nearly two hours.
Police conducted a brief search where they located the pair on a barge a distance away.
According to reports, the pair did not suffer medical attention and refused treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
