Morris County authorities announced the arrest of Mr. John F. Geiger, 39, of Hackettstown following an investigation into the delivery of controlled dangerous substances via the United States Postal Service.
According to officials, the investigation culminated on September 2, when law enforcement officers from multiple agencies executed two (2) search warrants in Washington Township, which resulted in the seizure of approximately 45 grams of cocaine, approximately 97 pills of suspected alprazolam (Xanax), two (2) vials of suspected anabolic steroids, and about seven (7) grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Offcials said the United States Postal Service intercepted the methamphetamine.
**Police charged Geiger, of was accused of the following:**
One count of Second-Degree Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, one count of Third-Degree Possession of Alprazolam with Intent to Distribute, one count of Third-Degree Possession of Methamphetamine, one count of Third-Degree Possession of Cocaine, one count of Third-Degree Possession of Steroids, one count of Fourth-Degree Possession With Intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia and one count of Disorderly Persons Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Officials say Geiger is currently being supervised by probation and is now a Somerset County Drug Court participant.
He is in custody at the Morris County Correctional Facility, pending a detention hearing.
