Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Warren County on Saturday night, which resulted in the death of a woman.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. at a residence on Washington Avenue in Oxford.
Police were initially called to the scene to respond to a disturbance report that possibly involved gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim with a bullet wound to her face.
Despite immediate CPR efforts by emergency responders, the woman was pronounced dead shortly after that.
The Warren County Prosecutor's Office has been notified and is actively involved in the investigation.
While details are still emerging, police are exploring a potential domestic violence angle to the incident.
As of now, no other injuries have been reported, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Further information will be released as the investigation progresses.
