Warrant Issued for Linden Man Wanted for Aggravated Assault Shooting

Authorities in Newark report that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Trevon H. Murad, 23, of Linden, who is wanted in connection with an aggravated assault shooting that occurred on Thursday, April 4.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 10:45 p.m., police responded to a call of a shooting in the 800 block of South 16th Street.

Officials stated that responding officers located an adult male and an adult female who had been shot following an altercation with a woman they both knew.

Before the shooting, the woman arrived at the scene with a group of females and a male, officials said.

Authorities say the victims were transported to University Hospital for treatment and are reportedly in stable condition.
