Police issued a warrant for the arrest for Mr. Laron Carmen, 22, of East Orange, in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred last night.
Police say approximately 9:20 p.m., a driver and passenger of a gold 2001 Ford Taurus were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint by three males in the area of 13th Avenue and South 7th Street.
The suspects drove off in the vehicle, also taking the victims’ personal property, including cash and credit cards.
Detectives investigating this incident have identified Laron Carmen as a suspect in this incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
According to police, Carmen is described as 5’7” tall and 160 lbs. He has a medium brown complexion, black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on his neck.
