A male victim suffering multiple stab wounds to his body in a neighborhood in the city's South Ward has authorities investigating.
The violent stabbing happened in the area of Chadwick Avenue and West Bigelow Street at around 10 p.m. where a host of emergency responder rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing in progress according to reports.
Police and EMS arrived to the scene where they located the victim bleeding heavily from the torso after being stabbed at that location.
The victim was taken to University Hospital where his injuries were reported as life threatening reports said.
Police located a weapon at the scene but it is not immediately clear if suspect was apprehended.
