Authorities are investigating a violent crash in Bloomfield Township that left one severely injured late Sunday night.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the area of John F. Kennedy Drive and Spruce Street shortly before midnight following reports of a collision with injuries.
Upon arrival, police encountered a severely damaged crash scene and found one individual critically injured.
As of 5:10 a.m., Monday, The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has confirmed the collision as non-fatal.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the crash remain limited, and authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
Both county and local officials are conducting an active investigation into the incident.
