Violent Carjacking at McDonalds in Paterson Leaves Victim Injured

Authorities are on the search for the suspect/s involved in a violent carjacking that happened in the city early this morning. 

Police responded to the parking lot of the McDonalds restaurant located on Madison Ave. at Broadway at around 5 a.m. where they found a victim suffering injury after being attacked by a suspect described as a black male who was last seen wearing all black. 

The suspect approached the victim then went on the attack before taking a white 2011 Toyota Camry. The victim required medical attention for a laceration to the face. 

The carjacked vehicle was involved in a collision that happened in the 600 block of East 23rd Street about an hour later where the driver of the other vehicle involved reportedly took a photograph of the suspect before he fled on foot. 

The carjacking is under investigation by Paterson Police.
