Police are investigating a robbery report that occurred over the weekend in Jersey City.
According to police, officials responded to the area of Liberty Avenue Saturday around 4:40 a.m. for a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, police found the 30-year-old victim disoriented, with a swollen eye and mouth, and a bloodied elbow. The victim was reportedly walking in Journal Square Saturday morning when four men jumped out of a parked car and attacked him.
The victim - whose wallet and cell phone were stolen - refused further medical attention, according to police.
The alleged attackers fled in a vehicle.
The robbery is under investigation.
