Firefighter extinguished a raging truck fire that occurred on the NJ Turnpike overnight in Elizabeth.
It happened just before 1 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near mile marker 101.4 -exit 13A- where several 911 callers reported a crash that resulted in a truck fire according to preliminary reports.

Elizabeth firefighters arrived at the scene and observed a vehicle crashed into the rear of the truck causing a massive fire at that location.
Crews were able to swiftly extinguish the blaze where a search indicated no trapped or severely injured occupants reported.
The NJ State Police are investigating the official cause of the crash.
