Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspect concerning a package theft that occurred on Tuesday, September 17.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé stated police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Broome Street on a report of a theft.
The victim’s package was delivered at approximately 2:43 p.m. and stolen at approximately 7:02 p.m., officials said.
Officials say the stolen package contained items valued at $600.00.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as an African-American male with a dark brown complexion, according to officials.
Authorities say he was wearing a brown graphic hooded sweater with lettering on both sleeves, khaki pants, and white sneakers.
