Police in Elizabeth are investigating the circumstances behind a shooting that injured a person in the city Saturday night.
According to police, at approximately 9:25 p.m., officials at the Trinitas Hospital contacted police when a male victim entered the emergency room suffering a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Police arrived at the hospital and were pointed to the vicinity of Westminster Avenue and Prince Street, where they believe the incident occurred.
The victim was listed in serious but stable condition as of last Saturday night.
There were no arrests reported.
