Passaic Police are investigating the motive behind a stabbing that left a person severely injured in the city early Saturday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the overnight stabbing happened on Gregory Avenue at approximately 2:50 a.m. where police were made aware of an injured person at that location.
Units arrived at the scene and requested EMS on a rush after locating an unidentified person suffering multiple stab wound to their body according to reports.
EMS rushed the victim to St. Joseph's Hospital where doctors began to treat life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
There were no immediate reports of arrests.
