Police in Paterson are investgiating a stabbing that left one person injured in the city on Thursday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 31 Bergen Street to investigate reports of a stabbing that occurred at that location just before 7:30 p.m.
Units arrived to find the unidentified victim suffering a serious head injury after being stabbed by a suspect on the upper floors of a house according to police reports.
EMS transported the victim to St. Joseph's Hospital where doctors began to treat non-life threatening injuries.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
