Mercer County officials are investigating a shooting the left a person dead in Trenton on Wednesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 317 East Trenton Avenue after receiving reports of shots fired at approximately 5:20 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene found the unidentified victim suffering a gunshot wound to the head at that location.
Medical personel pronounced the victim dead at the scene according to officials.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined at this time.
