Police in Paterson are investigating a shooting that injured two victims in a city neighborhood Friday evening.
Officials said at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a ShotSpotter activation that alerted authorities of gunfire in the vicinity of 369 Hamilton Avenue.
Upon arrival, units found an unidentified person suffering a bullet wound in their neck at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, where officials at the medical center told police that a second person entered the emergency department suffering gunshot wounds.
Police say the 28-year-old male victim was in the area of Van Houten and Summer streets.
The suspect ran from the Hamilton Avenue shooting scene and remain at-large.
