Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief Jack McNiff announce the arrests of Ms. Stacey Scher, 45, and Mr. Marc Scher, 46, both from Wayne, on Thursday.
Police say Marc is charged with Possession of Marijuana, Fourth Degree and Conspiracy to Possess Marijuana, Fourth Degree.

Officials say in July, 2019, Federal Law Enforcement authorities informed Wayne Police that a package containing THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) products was being shipped from Canada to a location in the township of Wayne.
Wayne Police initiated an investigation of the matter officials said.
During the course of the investigation, Wayne Police learned that Stacey, Vice President of the Wayne Board of Education, purchased the THC and had them shipped to a location in Wayne.
Officials say her husband, Marc attempted to retrieve the package but it was intercepted by police.
The sentencing exposure on Fourth Degree, Possession of Marijuana is 18 months New Jersey State Prison and the sentencing exposure for Fourth Degree, Conspiracy to Possess Marijuana is 18 months New Jersey State Prison.
Stacey Scher and Marc Scher were released on a summons complaint.
They are scheduled to appear at Central Judicial Processing in Paterson on November 4, 2019.
