Township officials in Verona are lauding the swift action of three of its police officers who revived a woman experiencing a heart attack inside an apartment.
Verona Police officials said that Officers Maguire, McMahon, and Clark were dispatched to an apartment on Monday evening after receiving reports of an unresponsive female.
According to Verona Police, within three minutes of receiving the 911 call, officers arrived on the scene, began performing CPR, and applied an AED on the woman.
Upon the arrival of the Verona Rescue Service and Paramedics, the victim regained a pulse and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment and is reportedly in stable condition.
The incident marks Officer Clark’s first tour of duty after completing his Field Training program, Verona Police officials said.
