Newark Police arrested five juveniles from Newark, who were between the ages 14 to 17, early this morning for Receiving Stolen Property.
Police said at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers from the Special Enforcement Bureau observed a black 2004 Jeep Liberty, which had been reported stolen out of Irvington, in the area of Avon and Seymour avenues.
Police reportedly followed the vehicle to the area of South Orange Avenue and Munn when five individuals bailed from the vehicle and fled on foot into the Bradley Court Housing Complex.
Officers on foot pursuit arrested the juveniles without incident police said.
All were charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Resisting Arrest.
The juveniles names or images could not be released because of their ages.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspects is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
