Bloomfield police are searching for an SUV that was stolen with a small dog inside this morning.
Officers responded to Bloomfield Avenue where they met with the female victim who told them that she left a black Jeep Cherokee running while she went to the store.
When the woman came back the vehicle was gone. According to the victim, her purse and a 5-month-old Shih Tzu were in the car.
Police continue to search of the vehicle and are looking into surveillance footage in the area.
