Utility crews are on the scene of a water main break that erupted at a location during the overnight hours in Newark.
Police were called to the area of 1st Street and Sussex Avenue at 2:20 a.m. where emergency responders noticed a hole in the ground with water pouring from it.
The area was closed off as crews worked on capping the break. There was minor flooding reported by police.
